The Truly Amazing Blog

Exploring Potential in Personal Development

About

Hi there, I’m your host on this truly amazing blog, and this is the page where I impart some fascinating information about myself. Well, to be honest, I can’t promise that, but I will tell you a few things, and some of them might even be classed as remotely interesting so I’ll give it a shot. I can’t claim to be a world authority on much really (okay then, on anything), but I’m no slouch either. The truth is, mine is one of those sad stories you often hear about – lots of incipient skills and talents, and few of them fully realised.

The thing is, I’m quite competent in many things, and in fact my IQ is ridiculously high, but as I’m sure you’re well aware, that’s no indication of success. In fact, in some ways, I have to admit, I can be pretty stupid. An example of this is taking practically forever to get round to creating an online blog :/

I’ve tried many things during my stay on this planet and succeeded in far fewer than I should have. But I’ve learned a few lessons along the way (eventually), and this is one of the main reasons I’m starting a blog.

I wanted to write a blog years ago, but decided it really wasn’t a great idea. I didn’t really know what I’d write about, or in fact whether anyone would want to read it, and it just seemed a bit of a pointless and egotistical thing to do. But it turns out that writing a blog is possibly the best thing I could have done, and I’m glad I’ve finally got round to starting it.

Follow your bliss!

Follow your bliss, they tell us. Live with passion! Do what you love! They’re all clichés, of course, but they’re all true as well. If you can find something you love, and you can find a way to do it and get paid for it, better still! I never realised I could make a blog pay, but I’m pretty sure I can now. As I indicated earlier, it sometimes takes a while for the penny to drop 🙁

The thing is, there are a few things I’m particularly passionate about and I reckon there are plenty of people out there who share those passions. So if I can build a blog around those subjects, and find a way to make it pay, I’m giggling like a three-year-old. And making it pay is the easy part; all I have to do is recommend a few things that I genuinely believe in and sooner or later a few of my readers will take up my suggestions and thereby send an affiliate fee winging its way in my direction. Sweet!

It’s a win-win-win situation. I write a great blog (well, a truly amazing one, hopefully), which makes my readers happy (and, incidentally, makes me ecstatic) and my affiliate partners will be thrilled that I’m sending a bit of business their way, so they’re happy too. The third win is that anyone who follows my recommendations benefits, because I’ll only recommend things that I consider to be of real value.

Now if I was writing about something that didn’t really interest me the whole thing would soon fall apart like a house of cards in an office party. Nobody would really be interested in reading the blog and I certainly wouldn’t be happy churning out blog posts about things I don’t really care about. And my affiliate partners? Well … they’d be sad and disappointed that I’d turned out to be such a hopeless affiliate and would turn their backs on me forever  🙁

The Three Pillars of Personal Development

But fear not, this blog will be interesting. I’ve decided to focus on three main areas, all within the wide spectrum of personal development.

HEALTH

“Natural forces within us are the true healers of disease.” ~ Hippocrates

The first is Health. Nobody in their right mind is uninterested in their health. It is, without doubt, the single most important thing in life. Without good health, you have nothing. Nothing else matters. Even the richest individuals in the world, if they’re experiencing health problems, would hand over all their wealth without hesitation if it meant being healthy again. And on a personal note, as time has gone on I’ve experienced some health issues myself, inevitably, so it’s not just an interest now, more an ongoing preoccupation.

FITNESS

“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training.
It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength
of which his body is capable.” ~ Socrates

Second is Fitness. I don’t believe anyone can be uninterested in fitness. They might need a bit of encouragement, and it may have lain dormant quite a while, but I’m sure the interest is there. It certainly is for me; fitness has always been a real passion for me, and partners up with health as two of the most important aspects of a well-rounded life.

PROSPERITY

“Whatever may be said in praise of poverty,
the fact remains that it is not possible to live a really complete or successful life
unless one is rich.” ~ Wallace D. Wattles, The Science of Getting Rich

The third and last of of the three is Prosperity. Almost all through my life I’ve never really been motivated by thoughts of becoming prosperous, and guess what … for most of my life I haven’t been! What a surprise! In recent years though, I’ve realised that my attitude was a mistake, based on misplaced beliefs and faulty thinking. Now I’m focusing more positively on prosperity, and the more I focus on it, the more I attract the wealth and prosperity that we should all seek to attain. I’ll be happy to share my ideas and insights on prosperity consciousness and well as my health and fitness ideas.

Trust me, trust my recommendations!

Be assured that when I do recommend a resource it is because I genuinely believe in it. It won’t necessarily be something I’ve personally used, but if I’ve recommended it you can be sure I’ve looked into it and made sure it fits the bill. And if the resource is used and trusted by people I wholeheartedly respect, then that’s a sound recommendation, and one that I will pass on in good faith.

Guaranteed!

And further to that, 99% of products available online (and 100% of those that I intend to promote) are one hundred percent guaranteed, so if you’re not completely happy with something you’ve ordered, you can always get a no-quibble refund. There have been times when I’ve availed myself of guarantees of this kind, and I can attest to the fact that they’re genuine guarantees, and will be honoured.

I hope you’ll enjoy the blog, and I encourage you to share it with your friends and people you know. There are links on the page to make it very easy for you to do just that!

Glad to have you aboard!

What d’you mean, is that really me??

And no, if you’re curious, that’s not me at the top of the page. Well, if it was I’d hardly admit to it, now would I … I mean why would I reveal my secret identity, mm?? Or maybe it’s just me as I see myself, a real life superhero? Yeah, maybe that’s it … or … or maybe I just couldn’t find a decent picture to put on this page so I settled for that one. Yeah, that’s probably it!
